Speak to the experts in quality improvement for disability & human services
Sharon freely admits she is a dinosaur in the disability and human services sector. She has over 30 years experience with specialist expertise in quality improvement and NDIS support. Sharon had a stellar career as a senior Manager in Commonwealth government and was awarded an Australia Day award for excellence in audit processes. She was a key player in developing the first ever certification system for disability services which has since been adopted nationally. Sharon has a well deserved reputation for skills in training, facilitation, evaluation, strategic planning, policy and procedure development and internal auditing. She has supported people with disability achieve their leadership goals in the national Leaders for Tomorrow program. Importantly for providers, she knows the NDIS registration requirements back to front and is able to demystify this information and support providers to be providers of choice.
Jen doesn’t mind admitting that she is a ‘quality nerd’ and as a person with lived experience of disability, she loves nothing more than helping providers help participants/consumers through the implementation of innovative and accountable quality and safety processes. Jen is considered the national expert on Certification, Accreditation and standards within the human services sector by Australia’s accrediting and certification bodies, governments and her auditing peers. She has earned this title through an extensive 25 year career within the human services sector, most notably: a range of activities related to Australia’s accredited human services certification systems, including technical writing; technical committee chairing; assessing certification bodies against audit scheme requirements; providing subject matter and technical expertise to Joint Accreditation System of Australia New Zealand (JAS-ANZ); and, completed a range of human services standards mapping projects for state and Commonwealth governments and JAS-ANZ. To add to her portfolio, Jennifer has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, training systems development and delivery. Andrew doesn’t like the limelight (or his profile pic), but he is a gun at everything quality. Andrew has been contracted to develop / review accreditation criteria & other policy work for the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ), such as convening and coordinating committees to develop numerous JAS-ANZ Procedures. Since approximately 2004 he has specialised in chairing JAS-ANZ technical committees; developing new or revised accreditation criteria for a variety of human services certification schemes, including national approaches to disability employment and advocacy; state-based schemes for human services (Victoria and Qld); and alcohol and drug rehabilitation (WA). Also in a technical writing role, he rewrote standards for Australian National Training Authority and the Department of Health and Ageing.

Meilyn is one of the newest members of our team, and what she lacks in years she makes up for in enthusiasm and attention of detail. Meilyn’s background is in quality auditing and certification of disability providers. She is passionate about assisting providers to understand NDIS registration, NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and their obligations. She loves nothing more than well-developed processes that are organisation specific, enable providers to support and empower individuals, whilst also complying with disability standards and legislative requirements. For this reason, she eats NDIS detail and is always roaming for the latest NDIS news. When she is not at her computer, you will find her pottering in the vegetable patch.
