This varied experience has also been strengthened by having worked in the public, private and the not-for-profit and non-government settings. As resident in the southwest of WA since 2010, Michael is also familiar with issues that impact on those people living in regional and rural Australia. He is active in his professional role as well as within his community and apart from holding a number of volunteer Board positions is involved in promoting advocacy for people with disability and improving issues around homelessness. Michael is also an accredited trainer in Mental Health First Aid and believes is that people are what makes a difference in our society and the more aware that the community becomes of issues that may affect mental health and well-being then the better prepared people can be for helping each other.
