Mike has spent his 40 year career researching, developing and applying risk assessment.  He has worked in science, engineering, and education, however Mike’s real passion is developing risk assessment skills in others through interactive workshops.

His career has included roles as a Researcher, Academic, Consultant and in Executive Leadership in Government.  He has provided his expertise in risk to the Australia Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS), Joint Accreditation System of Australia New Zealand (JAS-ANZ), Safe Food Queensland, private companies and education institutions.  Mike has also published in the risk field including being a contributor to an international encyclopedia.  Mike loves having the opportunity to help organisations apply risk assessment to such an important sector, and when it comes to risky business we consider Mike the best there is.
