Participant Handbook – Easy English

The Participant Handbook is used to provide critical information to NDIS participants about rights, responsibilities and so on, which contributes to addressing mandatory accessibility requirements under the NDIS Practice Standards.

Easy English is an accessible and alternative form of communication. It has a distinct format that is easy to read, and is for people who may have difficulties reading and understanding English. Easy English is also called easy-to-read or Easy Read. You’ll recognise this style as it uses short sentences with an image or picture. It is designed for people with low literacy, intellectual disability, and those with English as a second language.
